Because the focus of a professional school counselor is primarily the academic success of a student, they do not provide more intense therapy services. In today’s world there are many forces outside of the academic environment that impact a student’s ability to succeed academically. When situations arise which are outside the expertise of a school counselor, referral to community services will be necessary. The following list contains local area community services that may be needed by students on this campus.
